Full Moon Breathing
During the full moon, we reflect on our achievements. What goals have you achieved? What steps have you taken to get you to where you are today?
What do you want most in this world? Did you know yoga can help you achieve it?
By uniting us with our true nature, yoga helps us see the reality of the situation without losing sight of what we want.
While breathing, meditating, and intentionally practicing, allow yourself a bit of grace if an interruption occurs, if you don’t feel 100% at ease, or if your mind wanders.
If you are drained, and find it hard to focus, yoga can help you. This is life, and as householders, we have a lot going on, and we get to mess it up. That’s kind of our job.
It is also our job to bring our awareness back to the breath.
Bringing your awareness to your breath is a huge accomplishment, not only for yourself, but for everyone around you.
We are united
Yoga means union. When we do yoga, we unite ourselves to The Divine.
With our breath, we pray.
With our bodies, we become living, breathing acts of praise.
At all times, be listening to your body. Hear what it is telling you. Give it what it wants.
Find what feels good!
Breathe. Sit down. Slow down.
Strengthen your meditation muscle by bringing your awareness to the inhale,
and exhale.
We Are Breathing
Breathing Praise (Bee Breath)
Inhale: LOVE
Exhale: PRAISE
What is praise? It’s an act of showing admiration for someone or something that gets your attention. Living in the Texas Hill Country, we are not short on things to admire. Think about the things that you admire. The flowers, the birds and the bees? Do you admire your surroundings, your family, and your friends? Praise reports are a fast track to meditation. Instead of forcing meditation on yourself, you’re just naturally elevated by thinking about the people you love. Lift your voice. Humm with me like the humble bumble bee.
Hummm
Riding the Waves
Inhale: LOVE
Exhale: COURAGE
What is courage? It’s the feeling you get when someone loves you and you love them back. That feeling is what gives us courage. So know that you are loved, and that Someone has your back. Lift your heart. Feel your throat. Practice Ocean Breathing whenever you need courage. Hold your hand in front of your face and imagine you’re fogging up a glass or mirror.
Now repeat that same glotis constriction in the throat, but this time with your mouth closed.
Do you hear it?
Your breath is like the tides.
In and out.
Crashing over you.
An endless spirit on an eroding shore.
It is well with my soul
It’s okay.
Inhale: LOVE
Exhale: CALM
(Breathe normally as you feel your body; you feel your feet, hands, and face sink into relaxation) Dats nice.
