Where Love Goes
Hello, my friends! How’s it going? Are you feeling a little better now that the weather has warmed up? The warm sunshine feels amazing, today. I hope you get to step outside to enjoy it.
Please give me a like, give me some love, and let me know where you are joining me from.
Yesterday morning, I was enjoying yoga with my private client, Emily. As we wrap up our session, I mention the grief I feel about losing my Nana.
“It hurts because I have this love to give and nowhere to put it now that Nana isn’t with us,” I said, tearfully, to Em.
Do you ever get a piece of advice that may seem obvious, but when you hear it, the wisdom is so profound that you can’t stop thinking about it? My friend’s reply felt just like that.
“God will give you a place to put the love you have for your Nana. Pray about where you can put that love, and He will give you a place for it.”
Emily’s words struck me like lightning.
Instead of harboring the sorrow of loss, I should be giving it up to God.
Today, from 3-6pm at the Kerrville Farmers Market - Downtown my mission is going to be to strengthen the connections between us.
Emily’s encouragement to pray about the love I have for my Nana is a seed of prosperity in my mind.
I don’t just want to teach yoga, I want to contribute something valuable to this beautiful Hill Country. How can I add value? Perhaps I can add value by being myself, letting you be yourself, and by listening to the wisdom of the Spirit.
Being myself includes a lot of goofing around. To be honest, Teaching yoga to kids is the most rewarding part of my week. Even if it’s just one little boy who shows up, it is in his face that I see God. It is in his eyes that the universe lights up. The voices of these children energize my passion for life. I think that’s what building the Kingdom is about. Use your talents. Don’t hold back. I think the outlet He wants me to plug into is the one I’m already getting electricity from. It’s the Farmer’s Market. The private clients. The inquiring minds of the brewery.
That’s where I can put the love I have for Nana. Using my God given talents, music, art, movement, I can teach Kerrville’s community to get to know their own minds, bodies, and souls in The Light. I can be myself and teach others how to do the same. Confidence comes from acknowledging the existence of something powerful within you. Redirect the energy of our youths towards something positive, we change the future of Kerrville for the better.
“If you want to change this world, you need to pay attention to the children.” - Kristen LaRue
Do you have any little ones? Bring them to me tonight. Let’s make music, color pictures, and move our bodies in a celebration of life together.
Plugging the love I have for my Nana into the lives of little ones, I feel a surge of peace. What a blessing it is to feel the Spirit of my Nana smiling on me Today.
So, Where does your love go?
Namaste,
