About Mae
Hello, new friends! How’s it goin? I wanted to pop in here and tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Mackenzie Rose Nickel, but I go by Mae. I was born in Irvine, California, but I moved to Texas as quickly as I could, so back in 2008. The whole reason that I got into yoga was because I was diagnosed with patellofemoral pain syndrome aka Bad Knees.
I started exploring yoga online before I ever stepped foot into a classroom, and while some may be fortunate enough to have experienced yoga in it’s birthplace of India, I am fortunate enough to have experienced yoga in the comfort of my own home. After experiencing the benefits of Yoga first hand, I founded Kerrville Yoga so that I can share peace and pain relief that I found through intentional movement led by the breath.
After graduating with high honors in Vinyasa yoga through Dr. Paul Jerard’s online Aura Wellness Center in January of 2017, my studies continue with Rick Trzcinski at Rick’s Yoga Therapy, with Kelly McHugh at Digital Yoga Academy, and with Peter Marchand at Sanatan Society.
With over 10 years experience practicing yoga, my flows are instinctual, upbeat, and gratifying. The most important thing, however, is the breath. I started my practice online. Now I’m sharing it online, too.
My prayer is for you to be at peace so that you may be a source of peace for others, today and everyday, no matter what happens. The Light in me sees and honors the Light in you.

Namaste.
